Awhile back we had quite a discussion on the list as to the "correct" way to measure your draw for traditional style shooting. It turned into quite a deal. Reference to various web sites provided some truly amazing and complex ways to go about it, to some simple ones that just don't work for trad style. Tom Ireland came up with the simplest, and it does work. Here it is. It does require one piece of expensive technical equipment, though...
Step One: Install expensive piece of technical equipment on an arrow.

Step 2: Draw arrow. Expensive piece of technical equipment will slide along arrow and remain where it ends up. Be sure you reach your normal full anchor point and are postioned in your normal shooting form. Step 3: Lower arrow from full draw. DO NOT SHOOT IT. YOU MAY DAMAGE THE EXPENSIVE PIECE OF TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT! At a minimum, you will invalidate its setting. Step 4: Measure from the bottom of the nock to the inside edge of the expensive piece of technical equipment. That's your draw.
