Craig Ambos "King of the North" and "Black Bear"
Dick,
Attached are photos of the Hill King of the North (used) and new Hill Black
Bear. The King of the North is in very good condition. High gloss, junipier
veneers, elk tips, silver elk inlay. This bow is beautiful. 68", 56# @
28". Craig at Hill, said this bow was made in 1996 or 1997. It is very
smooth to draw and is a very good shooter. It shoots a wide range of wood arrows
as does the Black Bear. As you had indicated in your reviews, this bow is smoother
to draw than the Black Bear, but is slower in speed than the Black Bear which
is 1 lb less in draw weight. The Black Bear, 64" and 55# @ 28", seems
to be a little stiffer to draw, but is really fast for the poundage. I don't
know if it is stiffer because it is shorter or because is has the carbon lam.
I really like both bows.
